Shockwave Therapy Treatment in Ireland

What is Shockwave Therapy?

Treat your muscle and ligament injuries with our Shockwave Therapy treatment

Shockwave therapy is non-invasive and creates a series of low energy sound wave pulsations that are applied directly to an injury through a person’s skin via a gel and a handheld shockwave unit.

The concept and technology originally evolved from the discovery that concentrated sound waves were capable of breaking down kidney and gallstones. Shockwave therapy has proven successful for lingering injuries, or pain resulting from illness. Many people report that their pain is reduced and mobility improved after the first treatment.

How it works

A hand-held device is used to deliver controlled pressure waves to injured tissues, and has been clinically proven to stimulate metabolic reactions.
Reduces the pain experienced by affected nerve fibres
Increases the circulation of blood throughout the surrounding soft tissues
Launches the healing process that is triggered by stem cell activation
Shockwave Therapy has been a proven success for treating a number of chronic muscular conditions, such as Plantar Fasciitis, Tennis and Golfer’s Elbow, Achilles Tendonitis and Rotator Cuff Tendonitis.
